Epcot Space 220: reservations, menu available at Disney restaurant
Going into space seems more possible than ever. Last summer the first all-civilian team went to space, you can put your name on a list to go to space in a high-tech hot air balloon in 2024, and now you can have a meal in the space at Epcot’s Space 220 restaurant. Okay, maybe you won’t be going to space for the latter, but you will definitely feel like it.
The space-themed restaurant shares its menu. The immersive dining experience that virtually takes guests 220 miles above the earth features a menu filled with space-themed fare. According to a Disney blog post, the restaurant serves upscale and contemporary fare, offering a two-course prix fixe lunch menu and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. The menu includes a selection of ‘lift-off’ starters, main ‘star course’ entrees and a choice of ‘supernova candies’ for dessert. Customers also have access to alcoholic beverages called “Atmospheric Spirits” and non-alcoholic beverages called “Zero Proof Cocktails”.
The menu items look quite decadent. For lunch, diners can choose entrees like Neptuna’s tartare or the Big Bang burrata to come before their main course of flat iron steak or pan-seared tuna. For dinner, guests can mix and match appetizers like Star Squid and Blue Moon Cauliflower with a choice of Florida Red Snapper or Terra-Bolognese. The three-course dinner menu also includes desserts like lemon mousse and sticky caramel pudding cake.
The restaurant’s drinks are just as fun, with alcoholic cocktails featuring Atmospritz, which is served with a cloud of cotton candy, and Planetary Punch served over dry ice. If you’re not a heavy drinker or travel with kids, there’s Lightyear Lemonade made with butterfly pea tea and the Milky Way cocktail, which comes served with a fun “Milky Way” garnish.
The futuristic restaurant is now open and is taking reservations. The price for lunch will be between $ 35 and $ 59.99, and for dinner, plan to spend over $ 60 per adult. To add to the fun, purchasing any non-alcoholic cocktail or kid’s meal provides guests with a Space 220 Trading Card Pack. Cards will feature original artwork and trivia about space exploration and food in space.
