Government plans Rs 6.95 trillion for direct cash aid to cooking oil

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The government has budgeted 6.95 trillion rupees in direct cash assistance for 23.15 million beneficiary families to purchase cooking oil.
The budgeting process can be done faster since the direct cash assistance program for cooking oil is part of the social assistance program for food and is integrated with the cash assistance program for food vendors. Street, Food Stall Owners and Fishermen (BIT-PKLWN), Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance, Isa Rachmatarwata, noted during a press conference in Jakarta on Friday.
“In this case, the increase will be for BT-PKLWN beneficiaries engaged in the food sector,” he said.

Budgetary allocations for direct cash assistance for cooking oil under the food welfare program were set at Rs 6.2 trillion for 20.65 million beneficiary families who received assistance social food policy in 2022, he noted.
Meanwhile, budgetary allocations for direct cash assistance to cooking oil under the BT-PKLWN scheme have been set at Rs 750 billion for 2.5 million beneficiaries, he said. note.

Rachmatarwata noted that the Ministry of Finance, along with the three institutions, will check the disbursement of funds to see if budget allocations fall short of requirements.

Direct cash assistance for cooking oil is Rp 300,000 for each beneficiary family.
